Mission

The Secondary Social Studies Program is the assimilated study of the social sciences to prepare students with the knowledge and skills to empower, inform, and be socially responsible participants within our culturally diverse, democratic society. Our objective is to equip students with resilience in overcoming challenges, active engagement in civic participation, confidence in their future aspirations, and a steadfast commitment to serving as guardians of improving our communities - world, national, state, and local levels.

To accomplish this mission, we will create an environment that encourages students to formulate and pursue their inquiries, engage in constructive, civil discourse, critically assess the information they encounter, and cultivate a sense of agency and advocacy.
