What Are Service-Learning Community Partners?
Service-Learning Community Partners are community organizations that provide civic action and service-learning opportunities for classroom-integrated or individual service-learning projects for St. Mary's County Public Schools. They provide project opportunities that meet service-learning's preparation, action, and reflection criteria. Partners should complete the partner process with the Department of Curriculum and Instruction.
How Do I Become A Service-Learning Community Partner?
Review the Student Service-Learning and Community Partners Handout.
Complete the Civic Action Community Partner Form.
Complete and Submit the Community Partner Responsibility and Assurance Certification. Document. The document can be emailed to ktwright@smcps.org.
Approved Service-Learning Community Partners will be shared with the school-based Student Service-Learning Coordinators and school communities throughout the school system.
